May I add this review (nearly) unchanged to the xenwiki?
(and all the others too?)

I think it's for list newcomers - like me - a good starting point, to read recommended topics.

Best regards,
Wolf

Hi Wolf,

Sure, I consider everything I post here to be in the public
domain and free for any use.

Putting tuning list posts on the wiki may or may not be
consistent with the style there - I don't hang out there
much so I'm not sure. In any case, I've copied some
previous "reviews" of mine below. You can also check out
my tuning FAQ (draft) at

BTW: "Q: Why did Bach favor minor keys?"

The answer there seems rather unsatisfying to me.
(Sorry about that: Bach is my cue.)
Maybe this would be stuff for a new topic:
"Why did Bach favor minor keys?" - but ist this microtonal/xenharmonic?

Best,
Wolf

I tried to answer it using psychoacoustics, and this
answer has implications for new tonal systems based on
other kinds of chords. That said, it's a speculative
answer and probably doesn't belong in the FAQ. But I'm
curious to hear your opinion, either here or offlist!
