microtuning on Quora

If anybody's on Quora, I attempted to answer the question, "How many music scales are there?"

This is potentially a good place to do microtuning outreach. Unlike facebook, the web site is very well done (everything has true revision control). There are a lot of other questions there I didn't dare touch, like "Why are there 12 semitones in the musical scale?"

Wow, this is awesome. I wish people would answer all of my questions
about random fields in life with that kind of clarity.

What would happen if these questions were touched? Do you get a bunch
of people talking about how it's because 4*3 = 12 or something?

It would take something like 20min of my time to write the
answer and another unknown quantity to handle comments and other
answers on the question.

And another unknown quantity to argue with the people who know all
about how 12-equal is bad because the fifths aren't pure because the
Pythagorean comma is tempered out.

Some day I'll get that wikiversity project rolling...
