Jon Szanto, for the MakeMicroMusic mailing list, which has
immeasurably furthered the cause of practical microtonal
music in the World today.

I personally have been introduced to dozens of artists
through the MMM list. There have been times on the list,
as I was remarking to a friend just yesterday, when it
was actually difficult to keep up with the onslaught of
music!

Make no mistake: microtonal tunings are rapidly gaining
in popularity. And Jon's list has played a big part in
this.

***This is so funny, that this "award" came out right before Jon
threatened to "pull the plug" on MMM... (at the moment still
undecided...)

Well whether or not Jon shuts it down, the award stands.
The award-worthy work has been done. I think more can be
done, and I hope Jon doesn't stay too selfishly attached
to his creation, but...
