At the MaMuX Seminar on november 8, 2003 I have given a talk on "Microtonality and limited
transposition modes in n-tet". You will find all the details on the Web site :

http://www.ircam.fr/equipes/repmus/mamux/documents/ResumesNov03.html

in particular you could download three documents :

1) the slides (LimitedModespar6.pdf)
2) a complete discography on microtonality (disco.pdf)
3) a table of limited transposition modes in n-tet (tablellmited.pdf)

Kindly yours,

Franck,

There's a recent Wyschnegradky CD that I think you may not be
aware of yet. It's on col legno and has opus 22 and 45a.
More info: http://www.col-legno.de

thanks, Manuel!
i just ordered it ... looking forward to hearing it.

the only Wyschnegradsky (or variant spelling) i've ever
heard are the examples from Ivor Darreg's translation of
his 1933 _Manual of Quartertone Harmony_, and the very
beginning section of _Ainsi Parlait Zarathustra_, all
in my own MIDI renditions, which i hope to someday complete,
and perhaps even "rationalize" ("justify"?).

(the MIDIs of the _Manual of Quartertone Harmony_ were
part of a planned webpage version of it as published in
_Xenharmonikôn_, which i started but didn't continue
very far.

****I believe Johnny Reinhard did a big Wyschnegradsky quartertone
piece on the AFMM last year with Joshua Pierce. Isn't that correct,
Johnny??

As I recall, AFMM has been doing them for years.
