i hadn't read your message, john, but i happened to catch most of
this program, and it was terrific! i thought it was wonderful that,
after 25 years of trying to create a really large, bulky, massive
chronometer, thinking those qualities were necessary, harrison
finally gave up and created a small watch instead -- thus solving the
problem! just goes to show you how stubbornness can both pay and fail
to pay . . .

p.s. john, you haven't answered my queries either off- or on-list
about XH, i was wondering if this is what you want to use for the
cover:

/tuning/files/triadp80000.jpg

and i had other questions as well . . .

thanks!

***Snowflake??? Comeon. I would opt for *pizza!* Xenharmonikon
could use the big 3D PIZZA on the cover!

If John Chalmers doesn't know what this is, he should see it
immediately...

I'm serious!

I can recommend this too, very good drama.
Unfortunately I missed the first three of the six
episodes so I hope they'll play it again.
Does anyone know if it's available on DVD?

Manuel

unfortunately, the color would be lost . . . but here it is:

/tuning/files/terrain/waves.jpg

or the smaller version, courtesy jon szanto:

still, i think the snowflake might fit better given the XH covers
i've seen in the past . . . and since the pizza represents "total
dyadic harmonic entropy of triads", not nearly as useful as "triadic
harmonic entropy" which i have yet to calculate but is based on
the "snowflake" . . . blah blah blah . . .

***Well, the *pizza* even in a black and white manifestation is more
interesting. I've seen *too many* XH covers that looked
like "snowflake..."

Well, John Chalmers is the boss, but I would vote for "pizza": it
would make a striking and unusual cover for Xenharmonikon, in my
personal opinion!
