I was just thinking this, when I saw what happened to Ara's thread. Ara
is one of the most sublime persons I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

This medium is for the birds. If ten of us had spent so much time in
the same neighborhood, can you imagine the result? I've spent a lot
of time traveling around seeing people, which I've found really important.
I suppose it's both good and bad that we're so scattered. But can you
imagine if Haverstick had wound up in Phoenix?

Do you really think this is so true?? I wouldn't even know all my
friends on this list if it weren't for this medium. I've met people
from *all over the world* this way!

I think all we need is a little more caution and a few more "smilies"
like *this* one :) <grin> :)
