Don't know what I'd be voting for and I've tried to "get it"

I have seen several different options discussed here in the main list
concerning alternatives to Yahoo. The poll doesn't really tell me
among what options I would actually be choosing. I would like to vote
intelligently on this issue. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Bob

The alternative list already exists at
<http://music.columbia.edu/mailman/listinfo/tuning>. The vote is about
moving to it.

Hello Bob!

Although the "alternate" alternate Columbia list exists, it's been
*very* slow over there, so it doesn't seem that people like posting
to it...

Thanks for the feedback, bro. I just subscribed to check it out.
Haven't received the confirmation email yet and it's been awhile.
Makes you wonder. Of course, it hasn't been two days yet a la Yahoo
(chuckle with mild grimace).

Cheers,

Bob

Wow! That interface is "sho' 'nuff" primitive. Can't see what you're
getting into till you've gotten into it. Must use your own email to
post. No labels for threads, subject, author, nothing, so far! Is
this going to improve? Why don't the thread, subject, author, etc.
fields have data in them so you can know what you're selecting from
the archives?

there is also an alternative list on topica. the vote is really above
moving at all -- after which we can decide whether the columbia or
the topica list (or some other) is best.
