Hi, all! I just uploaded a *.wma sound file (MicroSoft Media file)of
my choir singing in adaptive JI with very minor flaws here and there.
See the previous message to find it in Files.

I have better examples, such as the one at the link below, but
they're too large to upload here. Bear in mind these are amateur
singers trained to sing adaptive JI. Clink on this link to hear the
one at our site:

Hope you enjoy it!

Cheers,

Bob

***Hi Bob!

Very nice! Who's the composer, Victoria or some such??...

Thanks, Joe! Not sure which you mean, so here's both:

The one here in Files is indeed Victoria, so you nailed it. It's for
antiphonal choirs as I'm sure you must have noticed if that's the one
you mean. The downloadable MP3 at our site is by Orlando Di Lasso and
is a complete performance. Yahoo choked on the 1.1 meg file, though
and said it was too large for the allotted space. The Di Lasso is as
close to impeccable adaptive JI as you can get with voices no matter
who you have in your choir, with very expressive dynamics, too.
Happens once every couple of years (chuckle). Wish I could have
uploaded it.

Thanks again, Joe!

Bob

not long ago, suggesting adaptive JI for renaissance music was looked
down upon. the arguments were long, points of view were stated again
and again (for example message #19269, and the only message i
ever 'saved', #19306.), and people couldn't seem to communicate with
one another.

anyone want to try again?

:)
