Johnny, Manuel and Everyone,

Please excuse me for butting in at a time when I am hardly even
reading the group but you may be interested to see my tabular
analysis of Werkmeister III at

http://www.midicode.com/tunings/temperament.shtml#T5J

My analysis from a mathematical perspective seems to concur
with your musical observations. Hope you find the table useful.

I have some programs that do analysis in this area but they are
not very user friendly. If you are interested please mail me off list.

Thanks, Peter. The color graph was gorgeous and I look forward to printing
it out with a color printer later on.

I had tried searching for "Werckmeister" using Google many times and your
site never came up. It sure would have saved a bit of time. But I think
working through an idea fully gives different insights. Anyway, I still use
a pencil to compose.

Best, Johnny Reinhard

Hello Peter,

I didn't know you made these pages as well, I'll put it
in the bibliography right away. Very well done!

Actually this was pretty much a "fun" review:

Not much wrong with it, right?

And did anybody try the synth? Not too expensive to "mess around"
with...
