Thank you -- and apology to Jon Szanto and Joe Pehrson

Hello, there, everyone, and I'm posting this from Yahoo because
outgoing mail from my ISP's server isn't getting out at the moment.
In addition to warmly thanking people for their invaluable MIDI help
and feedback, I would like to correct an unfortunate omission in some
of my comments mentioning a few of the people who have enriched the
life of our common community. While I cautioned that the list was a
very partial and fragmentary one, maybe two additions are especially
timely.

Thank you, Jon Szanto and Joseph Pehrson, for your invaluable
contributions, respectively bringing the tradition of Harry Partch and
the xenharmonic questions raised by composers such as Arnold
Schoenberg more vividly into focus for us. You are both unique and
invaluable members of community.

Here I might add that the problem of needless quoting is endemic,
and unfortunate mail reader defaults can much add to the problem. If
we treat the problem in a friendly and objective way, "Can I help you
to figure out some way to avoid this problem with your software?" then
we may accentuate both efficient posting and all around harmony.

Thank you so much, Margo, for your kind post and, obviously, *WE* are
the ones to apologize to the community for any untoward behavior.

I will do so immediately in "metatuning..."

Dear Margo,

If passion weren't a fairly large facet on the face of music, I
probably wouldn't be here, or be who I am. But it is, and sometimes
the passion blooms larger than intended. Hopefully, like an overly
loud and obnoxious Hawaiian shirt on a favorite crazy uncle, this can
be overlooked, and the person in the shirt can still be appreciated.

When possible, I'll dress appropriately. At all times (even when I
get lost) I'll value your posts for their civility and sharing nature.

[Am I correct in assuming that I'm unlikely to bump into you at a
monster truck rally? :) ]

Cheers,
Jon
