Yahoo microtonal groups

Hi there,

I've an idea to start a new tuning list called
not-the-miracle-tunings

;-)

(not serious about this)

Incidentally, realise I haven't yet done the archive of most
recent 2000-3000 posts. When I do, will help everyone
find the things they are most interested in in the
more recent posts, I hope, as one can brwose it off-line.

Maybe later today, won't take long to do; main thing being
the time to upload the zip.

Actually, I have started another group (yet another)
/tuning2

Idea is to use the home page as a list of links to
all the microtonal groups.

Have I left any out?

Also, to show the urls for the FAQ tree and the
archive, so one doesn't need to keep asking for
them.

I'll add the Mills / Tuning zip to this when finished;
also the one for the recent posts.

Easy to remember to add a 2 to the url to see this page.

I suppose one could also use it as a list to move to
temporarily at times when the main list has so many posts
on a single topic that it is a bit hard for anyone else
to get heard amongst all the posts (I'm sure I've missed
a few that would be of interest).

I wonder if that would be an idea?

Robert

Hello Robert!

I have now officially joined the list which is a list of all the
lists and, in fact, includes the meta-list which is, of course, the
list to use when talking about all the other lists, even, I suppose,
the list of the lists. An imperative.

I am now, officially, member number 2.

Seriously, though, thanks for including all the posts on the combined
archive... It will be great when the Mills list is in there too. I
really do plan to at least skim through parts of the Mills list. It
will be fun to see who was there, and what was being discussed so
many years ago. Of course, this was 'way before my time... (or at
least my MOST active microtonal life...)

I'm having trouble, though, seeing the "tree" on the FAQ...

Is it being "repaired" or under development?? It just comes up as a
grey square... It always used to work before.

Just curious...

Someone mentioned the other day that Yahoo problems might
be due to the rolling blackouts here in California.

I think that's probably what's going on, and it's fouling
up a lot of our lists periodically. I've had various troubles
with most of them this week.

Where are all the damn solar generators in this land of
sunshine? Let's you know just how warped our society is.

And in California, the electric car was supposed to be the
solution to the pollution problem...

Yes, will do that. Close to finished, but I'm working on FTS right now
for a few days.

So far it is available as a preview, .exe file only, but will
be doing a new version of the beta proper soon! Major overhaul
of the layout, and a fair number of new features.

As far as I know all is well there - may just be a glitch?

I've tried ti and it seems okay, and it hasn't been edited
recently.

Let me know if it keeps doing it - I could try re-uploading the applet
(and so, by updating the date, get browsers to re-download it).
