FAQ?

Can someone tell me and the newbies what happened to the idea of a
FAQ? What happened to all the stuff folks wrote for it? Who is the
editor?

Dave, Robert Walker has all the submissions so far. I volunteered to
be "editor", but there's not enough to pull into any kind of coherent
shape. Robert describes how to get to his compilations at:

/tuning/topicId_21571.html#21571

Will you volunteer to help fill in some of the gaps?

Thanks, JdL

I think we have to get the most recent form of Daniel Wolf's meantone
entry in there.

I wrote Daniel off-list a couple of weeks ago to make sure it was OK
to include his submission, but haven't heard back. Others have said
he is very touchy about granting permission, so I'm unsure whether to
include his work without his explicit authorization.

Although we should be able to get Daniel to respond (he has posted
within the last couple of weeks), it does seem that he was 100% aware
that he was working with us on a FAQ for public display and use, and
that he (and most of us) felt comfortable with the last version he
wrote, as it stood.

Darren,

I've just seen that GD is available for use by perl scripts. This would be
better for me (although I imagine it would still be a good selling point to
have it in PHP as planned).

Yikes! That's way too complicated. Robert, can you just give us
everything you've got, in a single text or HTML file?

Maybe one day. But not soon.

John, it's true. You've already written him, so
wait until he gives permission.
