Dear Joe,

There is already a tremendous amount of traffic on this list, with a
lot of different topics. To have digests or list traffic grow even
more by posting from other lists makes managing this one even more
difficult.

If you find topics of interest and it isn't possible to just give a
link (as in, if it is really a mailing list server and not like Yahoo
groups), could you just mention it and if anyone is interested you
could email the relevent stuff to them? T'would be greatly
appreciated.

TIA,
Jon

The CSOUND list is not that easy to access, and there is no website
for it. Additionally, I have received positive comments from people
who were interested in that and glad I posted it.

So I disagree with you, Jon.

Jon... besides this, why don't you worry more about what you might be
SUPPOSED to do on this list, like answer John Starrett about who
holds the rights to Harry Partch recordings...

It's right here:

I know that American Composers Forum has released several recordings
through Phillip Blackburn, and CRI as well...

But I don't know any further details...

Thanks, Jon!

Joe,

Fine. It was only a suggestion, and only an opinion.

Supposed to do? I'm sorry, but are you telling me what I am supposed
to do on this list? What my reason for participating is?

Yes, I saw it Joe. Just so happens that I had about ten minutes to
read the list this morning, and then leave for what we working
musicians call a 3 service day: 2 full "Childrens Concerts" in the
am, 1.25 hours to set up a huge percussion setup for a 3 hour
rehearsal in the afternoon, and then a 3.5 hour dress rehearsal
of "Aida". As I write this reply it is 11:30 at night, and I'm
wasting time having to answer this kind of jive.

So very sorry to not have had all day in front of the computer to
answer a question that may have a lot of ins-and-outs, with regard to
performing and broadcasting rights, and is not a simple "here it is,
folks". Yeah, the stuff means a lot to me, especially since I helped
produce the 3 CRI discs.

I've answered a couple of Partch questions recently, when I had the
time and the answers that I felt confident in.

But you sure can give out advice on what *my* responsibilities on the
list are. I sure hope I misread the tenor of your post, I really do...

You did, and there is no "tenor..." The part is mostly spoken...
