I notice that John deLaubenfels has added his "adaptive tuning" FAQ
in the files section and database.

However, it does not yet appear in the tree at:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robertwalker/tree/tree.htm

Probably Robert Walker just hasn't uploaded it yet...

Yes, that's right.

When you add a new entry to the database, that's a kind of in-tray
for the tree as far as you are concerned.

It gets added to the tree next time it is refreshed.

At the moment I'm doing it by hand, and once it is clear the
system is understood, I'll just check for time to time to see that
entries in the database are in the correct format in the table, and get on
with writing the program, if that's okay.

Adding an entry by hand takes quite a while and if I need to do several,
would be quicker to write the first draft of the program first!

Oh sure... in this case it's best you just work on writing the
program, and the rest of us can "play around" with database entries,
getting used to it... although it isn't clear yet whether the
database should be RESTRICTED so that ONLY John deLaubenfels works
with it...

Actually, though, that might not be such a good idea if the database
tree entries are someplace OTHER than the FILES folder... since
nobody
else but the original poster would know the correct path!!

That's actually a pretty important reason why EVERYBODY should be
allowed to access the database... although John should have the
"ultimate authority" to organize it in his role as "editor..."

As far as the actual web tree is concerned... we now see what it will
look like, so there is no reason, in my view, for further uploads
until you are ready with the "quick" way!

Thanks again!
