Well i have cats and have been tuning to "meows" for several years
subjecting their meows to subtractive synthesis, isolating the residual
sinusoids
and running them through various algor-comp techniques.
Our orange turkish angora tabby, Nando--aka Mister Pondo produces a "pwow"
pitch that is absolutely an 8/5

Our cat Harry (as in Partch), truly lives up to his name in realizing all 43
tones accurately in his "purrows" and "wackas"...

My goldfish is forever in the realm of the possible with his silent O shaped utterances. Should I
stick a microphone in his bowl?

I believe La Monte Young has done some significant research into
tuning frequencies of a goldfish bowl pump, goldfish and
microphones...

David Beardsley, what was this again???

At one point, La Monte used a contact mike on an aquarium
pump as the source for a 60 cycle hum. In the '60's and
maybe into the '70's?

But this has nothing to do with the goldfish itself. I hope you are not
doing a FAQ on Goldfish Microtonality.

Sounds a bit "fishy" for this project, Johnny!
