For what it's worth... When I'm searching for something out-of-print, I go
to http://www.abebooks.com/ and set up a "want list" -- a free service.
Eventually, a copy will turn up at one of the zillions of used book dealers
in their network.

I waited a year or so to find a copy of Colin McPhee's "Music in Bali".
Barbour's "Tuning and Temperament" turned up in less than a fortnight.

Thanks so much, Rick. I really appreciate this post! Actually, I
had tried Amazon.com for a couple of out-of-print items, the Barbour
was one of them... and also the Easley Blackwood "Diatonic..." No
luck.

This isn't really so OT, I believe, since every major book on tuning
I have wanted has been out of print!

Thanks again!
