Why do you suppose the situation was so different with 1/1?

Regarding the eyes of Xnh readers -

What about putting a pdf downloadable on the Xnh site ? That way we can all
either ruin our own eyesight or print it off in glorious 600dpi.

Oh, I suppose you're right. I did just vote in favor of
distributing 1/1 as pdf, after all...

***Hello Mark...

What is the Xenharmonikon site?? Do you mean "Frog Peak?" That
would be a little unlikely, no, since they are trying to *sell* the
mag??

***Thanks, David. I forgot about this, and it didn't come up in
Google... unless it was way down the line someplace.

In questions like this, make this the first page
to run to!
http://www.xs4all.nl/~huygensf/links.html

Cheers,
Manuel

Hey, this must be a good page--Manuel put me on it. I'd recommend adding links for Timidity (in the freeware department) and Audio Compositor (under commercial.)

That is one of the best link pages I've ever seen.

Let me ask you about their microtonal support...

?

:)

They both have full (14 bit) microtonal support, which is why I mention them.

You already are, in the music section. Could put you
in the composer section too if you like.

Good idea.

I think something got lost in the translation, and Gene wasn't asking to be included. I think what *I* inferred was:

"Manuel (has already) put me on it."

Gene can correct me if I'm wrong. And I'd second the suggestion for GWS to be in the composer section.

Cheers,
Jon

I'd be honored.

You mean they keep all the bits of a pitch bend? They are
still limited to 128 notes/channel, I assume... can you freely
map notes to frequencies without pitch bend?

'fraid so. AC does allow you to add tracks to an existing wav file, though.

can you freely

Ac is testing out implimeting the midi tuning standard:
