I had vaguely heard of this, but I wasn't aware that so many great
books were availabe in electronic version on the Internet:

http://gutenberg.net/index.html

It's pretty incredible, actually.

Also, if one wishes to create ebooks that can be read on one's Palm
Pilot (they only cost $70 now!) one can use *this* utility, which can
convert text files and parse them into separate "docs" for the Palm
(if storage space is a concern).

It can also convert HTML pages into Palm "docs" directly:

It's free, too.

It sure is. I've been reading books on my Palm Pilot (now Visor) since Pilots were brand-new. I'm glad you finally found Gutenberg...

Cheers,
Jon

***Well, Jon, you be just ahead of the curve! Actually, I never
wanted to spend $300 to $400 on a Palm a few years ago, since I
though I might *lose* it. But now that they're under $100 it's a
different "palmistry..."

from your recent posts on other lists, it appears you feel the same
way about notes per octave as you do about dollars . . . just a silly
comment, not to be taken seriously . . .
