I'm not seeing Gene's "microtuning" group. At least on YahooGroups.

I would put my "bouncers" over there, but I think those are the last
of them.

What are you talking about? It's right there:

/microtuning/

Except the description only mentions "tuning theory", and not music, so it may not be of interest to me.

Cheers,
Jon

It's there, however. We even have a topic going. Did you get my
invite?

This makes it different than tuning in what way? The idea was that
the topic area would be the same as it has always been.

The description is not only much more tersely (and narrowly) worded than the original, what it does is crystallize the direction that the tuning list took, starting in the last year or two, that has not only made it inhospitable for myself, but has caused a number of other people to leave.

If the list is now in existance to focus solely on tuning theory, to either the exclusion, derision, or simple and active absence of other microtonal areas of interest, then so be it. The mission just needs to be clear, and then intelligent people can make their own decisions about participation, etc.

Cheers,
Jon

***Well, I just tried to search "microtuning" from the Groups home,
but possibly it's not in their search engine as yet. I found it,
anyway...
