Avril Lavigne

Well, some may prefer to think of war... but at the moment I'm
thinking about Avril Lavigne (and my wife, of course...)

You know, Lavigne isn't really half bad, so it's great that she's
made it to the very top of the music "industry..."

Songs are "catchy..." Good "hooks..." She sings like a laser beam.
Really strong voice...

"Discovered" in New York, so I hear... right around the corner
someplace...

Nice alternative to the Brittney Spears, Marilyn Monroe makeovers...
although BS has a couple of halfway decent songs that about two dozen
people wrote together for her...

But so "unreal" compared to Lavigne, who writes her own material and
goes to the Mall, like most young ladies her age....

Cute kid, she gets described as skateboard punk.
Apparently punk doesn't mean what it ment 20 years ago, I hear
melodic pop music.

***Hi David,

It's funny how things cycle around... her stuff almost sounds
like "straight ahead" "melodic" rock/pop that we used to hear 30+
years ago... some of us, that is... :)
