Mine hasn't arrived yet, but I found it's already in their online version:

The depiction of Schubert's pen at the end is worth the price of admission...

Cheers,
Jon

...yes indeed Jon. Thanks Joe for mentioning this article and Jon
for providing the online link. He's a favorite that I haven't
followed or listened to lately. It's an inspiring and insightful
article.

***Thanks, Jon, you beat me to this; I was just going to post it!
Additionally, there is a *discography* online that is not present in
the printed version...

No problem, I just got impatient. I hope my issue arrives today, as I've finished the last one!

I *may* check out more of Parts stuff through recordings, because (and I don't mean to step on anyone's toes) in performance (I think I've done 3 or so pieces) I found the work tedious and not particularly effective.

But so much of that is perspective, and especially when one's music has such a large effect on a large number of people it behooves another to give a fair listen. Which I'll try to do...

Cheers,
Jon

***In my search for Part recordings on CDNOW, I got the composers
search result of "Part," "Partch," and "Dolly Parton..."
