off-timing of post reception

I don't get it. I'm receiving responses to some posts
*before* I receive the post being responded to!

This is happening on all the tuning lists, and seems
to have just started yesterday or the day before.

What's going on?

Like I said people's clocks are off.
Dan Stearns' is always 3 hours ahead.

If they're listed out of order, this could be it. But if you have a
reply with no original, there's obviously a problem somewhere. I've
known it happen before, it's not a big deal, so long as you aren't
losing messages completely (something I find much rarer).
