I don't recall seeing this mentioned. This web site lets you play
almost all of Harry Partch's instruments through Flash. Presented
through Minnesota Public Radio.

***This looks pretty neat. I get all the sound clips, but when I
click the links to "play instruments" nothing happens... and I've
installed "Flash..." Hmmm...

Joseph,

I don't guarantee this, but many times the "nothing happens" is actually while Flash is downloading it's materials - in this case the audio stuff. It would be nice to see a "...loading..." message, but leave the instrument on screen for a while, come back to it and see what happens.

I may have time to check it again tonight (I'm a great guinea pig, still being on a dial-up connection - in fact, I helped the web guy debug some of this site) if I have time.

Cheers,
Jon

***No, I just wait forever and nothing happens. The "Music
Mavericks" site is quite something, though. Congrats to MN public
radio!

***Well, I got this to work now, and it's terrific. Just the kind of
thing a boss would hate people doing in the office... :)

What happened was my provider RCN gave us some free "Popup Stopping"
software, and I'm finding that certain webpages, including *this*
one, *depend* on "Pop-up" technology or they won't work.

I just turned that off and it works great...
