Aloha,

Does anyone know of a source for fully packaged microtonal studios?
One with, I'm not sure, say Scala, FTS, SAOL, Csound and a soundcard
like Korg's Oasys PCI all installed and operational. If not: 1)
could be a side business for someone 2) I need another soundcard
recommendation. The Oasys I heard is discontinued. Comments
welcome.

***My guess is that the market for "microtonal studio assembly
consultants" would be extremely limited! :)

Best probably just to ask questions on this list and assemble to your
own abilities/desiderata...

Thanks. You have good reasoning. My limit seems to be two products
that work together out of the box. I am considering sibelius or
finale for music notation (replacing allegro 2001). I think my
Yamaha PSR-340 will need to be replaced too. Any suggestions for
either choice?

Best Wishes,

Jim

Help out a little here, as I have forgotten the needs of your compositions: *what* kind of intonations/temperments are you planning on working in? If the notation program is going to need to find a way to notate systems that are radically different from 12tet, it really makes it important to know what your goal is. Then one can offer an informed opinion on a potential notation/sound source combination.

Cheers,
Jon
