No, no other programs are used in the background to do
midi relaying. And Megamid can be replaced by any decent
midi file player.

So, you're saying that the inclusion of Megamid in the Scala package
is primarily just a *convenience* for the user? I was under the
mistaken impression, obviously, that somehow Megamid was involved in
the midi relaying of Scala. Apparently this is not the case...

Hi Joseph,

Right, throw it away if you don't believe me :-)

I often type commands more quickly than pointing and
clicking, so to start playing a midi file from Scala
type: @play myfile.mid
