Jacky Ligon, a modern Master

Everyone:

Jacky has once again centered a discussion by posting music that isn't just an example, isn't just illustrative, but really a knock-out!

Jacky, the two tunes you put up are perfect examples of the creative possibilities of:

1. sampling
2. microtonalism as just one facet of a larger style
3. the importance of sound choice and mixing

Special mention of Cop Car, since it reminded me of one of my all-time favorites, Eno and Byrne's "Bush of Ghosts". In fact, I pulled it out and gave it another listen. It is one of those semi-singular music creations that I wished there were more of.

And now I know: there's *you*, and apparantly you have a lot of material up your sleeve! It is now a direct order: you MUST post announcement on this list when your CDs are ready to order. Period.

Very happy,
Jon
