Thanks to Carl Lumma who noticed that during some recent "maintenance", Yahoo has reset all your email preferences directly related to advertising to 100% opt-in. The article below will tell you all about it and how to fix.

***Hi Jon!

Thanks for posting this and, naturally, I went in and switched
everything off. However, that doesn't seem to do anything about the
ads that appear on the Web access to the Groups. I guess nothing
much can be done about *that* short of a third-party utility...
