No, no files by e-mail! They get inflated by 50% in the MIME encoding.
And if you've got space on your e-mail server, you should have space on
your web server as well. Those without web space can upload to somebody
else's via a CGI script. That shouldn't be difficult to work out. When I
get enough space and CGI capability, I'll look into it.

Moving the mailing list will be harder, to get the same functionality, but
can be done.

But is it really necessary? Couldn't there just be links to this new
repository of various sound files??
