Hi Joseph,

Installing Midi Yoke is like installing a new hardware driver, say
for a scanner or printer, so that gives an idea of the level.

Yes, it is low level, of course, however the installation is pretty
straightforward, with the Windows Wizards taking care of it for one.

The web site has step by step instructions with screen shots:
http://www.midiox.com/index.htm?http://www.midiox.com/mfaq.htm

The older version of help for FTS recommends Hubi's loopback. This has
a somewhat sketchy readme text file in the zip to explain how to
install it. I've read that some users of Hubi had problems installing
it in Windows 98, in fact, needing reboot into safe mode to fix.
So felt I had to mention this in the help, and give more detailed
instructions.

It's a great little program, but now superseded (except possibly for
the more "techy" users).

Updated help is on the beta download page. In fact, I may eventually
leave Hubi's loopback out of the help altogether as Midi Yoke is better
in all respects, as far as I can tell.

Midi Yoke is also faster at midi relaying and has automatic protection
against loopback feedback (so does FTS now, for that matter).

If you try FTS for midi relaying you will find the help is better explained
and the layout improved, and I keep working on this in response to comments
on it.

Thanks, Robert, for all the help and also congrats with the new Beta

HI Todd,

Must be tired, sorry, that's for non duplex
audio recording.

For midi, you connect the midi out of soundcard
back round to the midi in, but I expect you
know what I mean. It works fine, but
if you have only one midi out and want
to send that to a synth it won't do of course.
