"At A Day Job" uses a 22-tone set built on two overtone series --
10-20, and 14-28 (1/1, 15/14, 11/10, 8/7, 6/5, 17/14, 9/7, 13/10,
19/14, 7/5, 10/7, 3/2, 11/7, 8/5, 23/14, 17/10, 12/7, 25/14, 9/5,
13/7, 19/10, 27/14) -- and is also loosely based on a group of
American patriotic songs (most notably "America the Beautiful" and
"Battle Hymn of the Republic"). "WITH EYES SO BLUE AND DREAMING,"
"DON'T LEAVE ME HERE" and "AT A DAY JOB" were originally grouped
together as one microtonal set (scherzo, assai appenato, montani
semper liberi).
