Bicycle spokes tuning

Having demolished my rear wheel axle and bearings in Hyde Park this
afternoon; I went looking for the diagrams and instructions before
starting the bike repairs.
I found this site, which may amuse? (interest) tuning enthusiasts.
Should we microtuning our spokes?
Did anyone else fix folded cigarette packets to "beat" the spokes and
emulate engine sounds as a kid?
