re: pierre Schaeffer interview--random thoughts

In the interview Pierre says "the world of music is probably contained in do re mi." This is reminiscent of the saying from the Upanishads that the oceans are contained in a drop of water. Thanks for the link. I was unaware that bach's music was called baroque in its own time -- it makes perfect sense now that I think about it. Bricolage translates into "gerryrigged." Could music be gerryrigged?
