An idea for a VST

It would be awesome if someone skilled in making VSTs could make a VST that took midi data (from another channel or device), retuned it according to a loadable scala file, and then output the retuned midi to another channel or track.

If this existed then I could retune *any* VSTi I have.

Just a thought as I fight to get my east-west products to perform microtonally,

Chris

I've tried it, but it didn't work too well for me.
The problem as usual is the MIDI implementation in the
target synths.
Scala does MIDI relaying too, of course, though it is
convenient to have the functionality it in a VST plugin.

I can't get it to work. No doubt I'm doing something wrong. I'd like this
alternative because scala midi file retuning acts odd on note offs as
someone else was mentioning.
Probably I'll contact the author in a couple days after tomorrow's Urbana
microtonal jam.
I am sure looking forward to that!!

Best wishes! I'm really gonna have to try to make this next year; after all,
my first music teacher went there.
