Hope it doesn't seem uncouth to mention that my book THE NATURAL
HARMONIC SERIES AS A PRACTICAL APPROACH TO JUST INTONATION is available

in elementary music theory (intervals, scales, chords, etc.) and takes
you to a level at which Partch will be comprehensible in the 1st reading
(otherwise, he probably won't be).
