Yeah, I think your probably right. The thing that caught my immediate
attention about the other one (though I only really gave it a cursory
look over) was the (sharp and flat) tweakability of the user set
tunings... so say for example that you have some JI fretting scenario,
the ability to change the tuning of your open strings (which can often
change most everything else) more or less on the fly seems loaded with
interesting possibilities... and not to long ago there was a couple of
posts about various microtonal scordatura scenarios for 12-tET
guitars, and this sort of a thing would seem to have practical as well
as creative possibilities along those lines as well... so these were
the sorts of things that were jumping to my mind when I was checking
out the other contraption.

The Trilogy will also let you "preset" three different tunings for each
string, then the lever for each string toggles between the three settings.
Still, the Trilogy can't beat the convenience of hitting just one button as
opposed to flipping multiple levers.
