Or Jon Catler. At NAMM, this was one of the FAQ - how do
you get your finger behind the fret. The answer is that
you just lay your finger down there lightly and it frets.
You don't have to jam your finger in behind the fret.

Just thought that I'd mention that there are also lots and lots of
neat sounds and pictures of incredibly cramped fingerboards at
Eduardo's site.
