Jacques Chailley

Last two days, I was in Sorbonne University where there was a colloquium
about Jacques CHAILLEY. He was (1910-1999) a french theorist and
composer.
One speaker said that he is unknown in US, I heard someone behind me
muttering that he is known...

Then, do you know his name? His works? His scores? Nothing of him?
