One more listening test

Hi everyone,

I did one more listening test. This time, I started with a flat-fifth
mavila type thing, and then moved the third up to a neutral third. You
can all tell me if you think the neutral third sounds "major" at the
end. (Yes Carl, this means you!)

It should sound like this:

C-Eb-G
C-D-Eb-F-G
C-D-Eb-F-G (sustained)
C-G-D-A-E (octave equivalent, sustained)

Looking at the MIDI file to see the tuning is punishable by death.

It did sound like that--except it sounded weird, so Chief Inspector Caleb suspected a ruse, as we call it. Years of training have made me very perceptive, Cato.

Why? Didn't you tell us what it was? If this is some sort of test, what is the test?
