Invitation to Margo Schulter and Ozan Yarman.

To join our microtonal group at:
http://groups.google.com/group/microtonal
And create Pages explaining how Turkish/Middle Eastern music fits into the framework of 41tet.
I could probably stumble through this myself but I'm sure that you two could do a much better job.
The Pages in our group can be continuously edited and updated by yourselves as you go along.
This is a request for educational information.

Dear Robert, thank you for this invitation. We'll see how things
develop.

Cordially,
Dr. Oz.

Dear Ozan: Thankyou for your consideration. If you want to dilly-dally while you sit on the fence then that is fine with me. The Egyptians are happy with 41tet so if you can see your way to casting Turkish music theory into a 41tet mold then we might be able to make some progress which can certainly reverberate around the world.

My dear Robert, I fail to perceive how subscribing to an established
list of over a thousand people interested in microtonal tuning &
theory (some of them experts, at that) and communicating my mind's
berth to them at length about maqamat is "dilly-dallying as I sit on
the fence" while not straightforwardly complying with your invitation
to attend to a group of not even a hundred people tugged along
apparently solely by yourself is not.

I do not even want to delve into your gross misrepresentation there ofTurkish Music scores, pieces, and musicians as 24-tET based -
blatantly copying horseblinded Western Orientalists who were so
engorged with 1001 Nights Stories imagery as to dunk everything Turkic
and whatnot under the Arabic fold.

As for 41-tET, I have already made strides in that direction not only
in this list, but also in my various studies. Should you care to visit
my website and download a few of the pertinent documents there, you
might find some examples of my 41-tET enterprises.

And I do not even know where you got the idea that Egyptians are happy
with 41-tET.

Cordially,
Dr. Oz.
