There was a recent post regarding someone who used tie on frets.
Unfortunately, I did not save the URL with the photo of this axe in my
favorites. They used plastic packaging ties. I don't know what they are
called, but they are the kind that have a hole in one end that you thread
the free end through and the free end has grooves that keep it from
slipping back.

Perhaps the inventor of this method is still out there?!?!?

Also, does anyone have contact information for the interchangeable
fretboard:

"Interchangeable-fingerboard guitars by Novatone (previously Intonation
Systems, subsequently Mark Rankin) used partial frets."
