The late inventor Eduardo Sabat-Garibaldi of the Dinarra, an acoustic guitar tuned to 53 steps of the 1/9th skhisma linear temperament used a fret-placing algorithm of his own devising which took into consideration the diameter of the strings, the width of frets, the increase in tension and vibrating length due to stopping the string, etc. Is this degree of precision really necessary for re-fretting guitars? It's written in BASIC in his book Principios de la Gama Dinamica, n Spanish, but I think still available from his family in Uruguay.

I would be extremely surprised if it were necessary. Perhaps I'm
wrong. Then again, when you're dealing with 53 notes to the octave, it
may very well be necessary.

Hello John, can you disclose, if you can, the equations Mr. Garibaldi
used for this extra precision?

Oz.
