mp3 - I can't be bothered with audio that doesn't stream
(correct me if I'm wrong - I have a 56k modem)

real audio - no, it doesn't stream. It generates text on my Netscape 4
browser.
Instead of Real Audio popping up and cranking out music, it looks
like I'm watching someone typing text garbage.

So, the experience was un-fulfulling and it sucked. ;)
