Margo, your article is absolutely wonderful. (And I don't say that simply
because you [and Zarlino] have reinforced nearly everything I have been
trying to say here.) Your writing style is pure elegance. Your sense of
objectivity appears to be in fine fettle. In short: BRAVA! BRAVA!

As you may have sensed, my interest in "mother nature" has to do
specifically with how acoustical principles relate to how we (in any era)
hear harmonic relationships. I think your article will place any future
discussions here on a much more productive level. Now, perhaps, we can
discuss the _real issues without getting sidetracked in incidental
wrangling.
