I'll see if I can get a promo copy of his cd to play on the show.

Ned Evett who made his fretless with a glass(!) fingerboard stopped
by the booth on Sunday. I've known him by email for a while. He told
me he has also made these guitars for Joe Satriani an John McLaughlin.
We're doing a cd trade so hopefully I'll be playing his music on the
show in the weeks to come. (Special Hindustani Guitar show on right now
as I type!)

Smaller than you think: he was at the booth across the intersection
from us. He also came by and introduced himself, mentioned that he knew
Neil Haverstick.

David B,

Just picked up a gem at the used CD shop. Jazz guitar greats Jim Hall and
Pat Methany duet album with Jim (maybe Pat too) on fretless classical guitar
on some tracks. Haven't listened yet, so I don't know how much they exploit
resources beyond 12 tet other than added color. Shall I send you a RA copy
of the tracks with the fretless for the show, David?

No, that's ok. I should look for this as used around here.
It's been out for a while, I should be able to find it.
I happen to want this cd anyway.

Pat won a Grammy for the title cut off Imaginary Day. He
played fretless classical guitar on that cut. I know
that when Jon Catler went to Berkley, he studied with Pat.

Not very, but his intonation is impeccable.
