[tuning] Kontakt script for MTS tuning

Hi all,

I'm thinking about writing a Kontakt script for MTS tuning (which would be
available for free when I finish it offcourse).
I have no knowledge yet on how to do this or if it's possible.
Anybody here has any experience or insights in how to do this? (or if I
shouldn't bother at all)

I work with scala sequence files and have developed a method of tuning using
the key and transpose features (thanks Carl for the key feature tip!)
My reason for wanting such a script is that I personally really dislike
working with fixed scales, it doesn't fit my method and would have to make a
scale for each peace after finishing retuning it and then make a new midi
file with all the notes hitting the right scale notes etc etc very
cumbersome (even more cumbersome would be to work with a fixed scale from
the beginning, making a new scale with every tuning change ugh, I used to
work this way, never again).
And pitch bend tuning (using a scala generated pitch bend tuning midi file)
requires setting up multiple midi channels and correct pitch bend response
etc.
MTS would really be ideal. Also for live playing.

Really too bad just about no softsynth works with MTS.
Does anybody know of any synths that support MTS other than Timidity and
Ivory?

Marcel

Works beautifully, lots of features, price nominal, 16 USD.

Thank you!
I was aware of this script allready but didn't realise it offers it's own
way of changing key / modulating.
I'm investigating if it will work for me similar to Scala's key and
transpose features.

.001 cent resolution, controllable pitch bends (so you could actually do a single tuning and specify comma up or down as the min/max of the pitch bend, practical for live), switch between scales or transpose the tunings, etc.

Ok sounds very good :)
I'll go figure out the best way to make it do what I want (an easy way to
retune a 12tet midi file by only indicating the tonics, leaving the actual
notes untouched and without need to write them down in ratios).
Once I have this figured out I'll make a webpage about it (and about how to
do thesame with Scala sequence files)

Thanks again for the tip.
