Vote for The Saba Storm in the SoOn 2009 Compo!

I kindly request that you forward this message to those who would be
interested.

As of 25 October 2009, an announcement has been made inviting new
tracks to a fair composition contest on the internet. 19 interesting
pieces entered this contest titled the "SoOn 2009 Compo" organized by
Chris Vaisvil. I submitted my very own piece, "The Saba Storm" to the
competition. These 19 tracks will compete for modest prizes. Your
votes will also decide the winners. The voting has started and will
continue until 7 November 2009 11:59:59.

Should you be concerned about not having the time to listen to all the
pieces, I would like to share with you these tracks picked according
to my personal taste that I think are the best:

#10 (dj Alces),
#5 (Screaming Egg Notion),
#19 (solo),
#14 (Nahkranoth),
#9 (Ceekayed).

It is hoped that listening to just those given above would suffice for
those who don't have the time to listen to all tracks.

Voting procedure:

Just send an e-mail (JUST ONE) to 2009vote@... containing a
text like this:

Best (5 points) is: Entry #XXX by XXX
2nd place (3 points) is: Entry #XXX by XXX
3rd place (1 points) is: Entry #XXX by XXX

That is to say, give 5 points to the track that you think deserves the
first place, 3 points to the track that you believe deserves the
second place and 1 points to the track that you feel deserves the
third place.

For example:

Best (5 points) is: Entry #17 "The Saba Storm" by Ozan Yarman,
2nd place (3 points) is: Entry #10 "Freaks we are" by dj Alces,
3rd place (1 points) is: Entry #19 "Behind The Sun" by solo.

The microtonal pitches heard in my composition "The Saba Storm" (Entry
#17) are those established in the Yarman-36a tuning scheme. For

"The Saba Storm" appears to be the only entry in the SoOn 2009 Compo
that is composed intentionally microtonally. It embodies not only Saba
aires characteristic of Turkiye, but also cleverly melds these
traditional Middle Eastern melodies with the trance-disco style and
beat. I await your support for entry number 17, "The Saba Storm"!
