>As others have said, a 7:9 is a car horn,

As Wendy Chambers and her Car Horn Organ (heard to wonderful effect on
"New York, New York" as part of the amazing EMI compilation CD,
_Gravikords Whirlies & Pyrophon_) have been cited here before, I
thought I'd use this opportunity to point out that list contributor
Joseph Pehrson has a nice entry at the Arcana site (in the composers
gallery under P):

<http://www.arcananet.org/>

In which "two performances of his Chambers Music for toy piano by the
composer and toy piano virtuoso Wendy Chambers in New Orleans" is
mentioned... and least I venture completely off-topic, there's also
mention and brief descriptions (as well as information on where to
obtain scores) of a couple of pieces in just intonation ("Harmonic
Etude," and "Nature's Harmony") for Belgian horn player Francis
Orval... Just thought I'd pass this on for anyone who might be
interested. (Oh yeah, there's RA excerpts of three pieces as well...)
