SCORDATURA 0r2x0 is the second major Beta release.

CSE and TPXE updates are especially important for Mac users.

Hi Aaron,

I'm new to the software side of microtuning. I couldn't download Scala on my old mac so I bought a program called Max Magic created by Victor Cerullo, which works fine and is Scala compatible. Now I just bought a new imac and so can download to my hearts content (and wallets). I've seen SCORDATURA mentioned before but don't know what it is. Are the CSE and TPXE updates for this?

Thanks

Rick

PS: I read your intro to H-systems on the link provided. Very nicely explained and presented.

Rick,

CSE is mainly for use with the H-Pi hardware item the Tuning Box which retunes standard keyboards. It has further general uses, but that's the focus.
TPXE is for use with the H-Pi specialized keyboard the Tonal Plexus, of which I am a happy owner. It could be used by others as a virtual version of the keyboard but it is definitely all about the keyboard and its concept.
Scordatura is more general and for use by all sorts of people for all sorts of purposes and I have less experience with it and less understanding of its capabilities. It is in many ways a competitor to Max Magic Microtuner.

All three are distinct software programs.

Regards,
Aaron Wolf (H-Pi customer/user, not officially affiliated with Aaron Hunt)

Apologies? Aaron Hunt is the owner of H-Pi and the maker of the software, and he posted the original update notice. Your question was to him and that made sense, I just stepped in to answer it and was making clear that I am someone else.

Ah, well scrap the last apology and I'll give you a new one here. But thanks again.
