NEWbie here. I've composed 12-tone music, but now I want to use an octave of 40+ notes. Where do I find such software? Recommendations?

Hi Albert
if you go here http://www.xs4all.nl/~huygensf/english/
and click on "Links" you will find plenty of recommendations!

Hi Albert,

If you use Windows XP or Vista, you might be able
to use my program Tonescape:

http://tonalsoft.com/tonescape.aspx

It is still alpha software, and is currently not
being supported (until our company gets more
investment capital).

Tonescape works fine on my two Windows machines (one each
of XP and Vista), but many others have had one of
these problems:

1. it does not install, because the machine's hardware
does not meet its requirements;

2. it installs, but trying to run it produces an
error message -- this is generally a problem of
having the wrong version of DirectX;

3. it installs and runs, but only one of the two
real-time windows displays (the Pitch Height window),
the Lattice window is blank.

If you use Windows, try it out.

Tonescape so far has not been demonstrated to run at
all on Linux or Mac, not even in a virtual Windows machine.

PS - The "Encyclopedia" link goes to my Encyclopedia
which has over 600 webpages on tuning subjects, including
several under the "00" menu heading which are scales
of more than 40 notes.
