Back to bidness...

To all:

A wonderful response from Paul today, not easy words for any of us to
write. Paul, I have no hard feelings and hope others will feel the same
way. Knowing that you feel, as I do, that all are welcome on the list is
gratifying. And I join you in the mea culpa that my own passions sometimes
get the best of me, and if I'm ever rude I hope any/all of you will call me
on it.

This is not a gigantic community, and we certainly can't afford to, and
shouldn't want to, drive anyone away. There are a myriad of approaches and
musical styles coming from this group, and we should all share as much as
possible.

Pat, if you (or anyone) sometimes post a question or comment that no one
gets back to, it may simply be that either no one knows, it is outside of
their interest, or the relevant parties might be otherwise occupied. I've
been on a number of lists, and it took me a while to realize that 'the
group' wasn't necessarily ignoring me. Don't assume that people don't care,
and if it is a *very* focused topic maybe you could just email individuals
directly.

To which I heartily agree! But I hasten to add that it is at times like
this I wish I knew as much about tuning as all of you!!!
